Wood Partners Breaks Ground on Alta Timberline Luxury Apartments in Tomball Texas

Wood Partners has officially broken ground on Alta Timberline, a 204-unit luxury multifamily community in Tomball, Texas, a suburb northwest of Houston. The development is scheduled for delivery in May 2027 and sits at the transition between Houston’s urban fabric and the piney woods of Northwest Harris County. The project name references the surrounding tall pines and the semi-rural, green character that distinguishes Tomball from inner-loop Houston submarkets.

Alta Timberline will consist of seven three-story buildings offering one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, plus one-bedroom plans with a study. Unit finishes include stainless steel appliances, in-unit washers and dryers, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, designer wood-style plank flooring and walk-in closets. Ground-floor units will offer private yards while upper-level homes will feature personal balconies.

On-site amenities are designed to support both active and social lifestyles, and include a clubhouse, resort-style pool, shaded outdoor kitchen area with gas grill stations, TV, fans and lounge and dining seating, two pickleball courts, a dog park, pet spa, business lounge, social lounge, fitness center and a coffee bar.

In coordination with the City of Tomball, Wood Partners is advancing access and pedestrian connectivity improvements surrounding the site. Planned enhancements include a new sidewalk and pedestrian access gate connecting Alta Timberline to the existing sidewalk along Lacey Road in front of Blackshear Elementary School, and a new median cut and turn lane on Hufsmith-Kohrville Road to improve access to the community’s main entrance and traffic flow.

Alta Timberline’s combination of interior finishes, amenity offerings and planned public infrastructure improvements reflects a development approach that integrates design with local connectivity and neighborhood context. The community’s May 2027 delivery date positions it as a near-term addition to Tomball’s multifamily housing supply.
