GTIS Partners and RISE to Elevate Student Living with Innovative RISE Auburn Development

In a strategic move demonstrating the burgeoning potential of Class A student accommodations, GTIS Partners LP and RISE join forces to develop RISE Auburn. This cutting-edge student housing community is set to address the burgeoning demand spawned by Auburn University’s consistent enrollment surge, offering an innovative living solution for its student populace.

The project emerges in response to an increasingly constrained student housing market around Auburn University, where recent years have seen a pressing need for proximity-driven, premium living spaces. The successful assembly and entitlement of a 4.3-acre site located a mere half mile from the university grounds underscore the project’s strategic positioning.

RISE Auburn aspires to set a new standard in student living with 718 beds over 240 units, harmonizing luxury and functionality. The promise of a full-scale gym, structured parking, a resort-like pool, a golf simulator, and study lounges sculpt an environment not only conducive to academic perseverance but also holistic development and recreation.

Casey Chayet, Vice President of Acquisitions at GTIS, affirms the symbiotic nature of this partnership with RISE, particularly in the context of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) schools. Chayet states, “We are excited to expand our partnership with RISE and further strengthen our presence at SEC schools. Just as with our Ole Miss development with RISE (Ivy & Elm), RISE Auburn is an opportunity to deliver a best-in-class student housing community in a market we believe will see sustained enrollment growth for years to come. In the new era of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) in college athletics, GTIS and RISE will continue to pursue opportunities at universities that excel both academically and athletically.”

The sentiment is reciprocated by Ryan Holmes, CEO of RISE, who emphasizes the aligned vision of both entities: “Partnering with GTIS again allows us to follow through on our shared commitment to providing high-quality, modern housing where it’s needed most. With RISE Auburn, our goal is to create thoughtfully designed spaces and amenities that make life both easier and more fulfilling for Auburn students.”

Projected for completion prior to the 2028-2029 academic year, RISE Auburn stands as a testament to the forward-thinking investments that GTIS Partners LP and RISE are spearheading in the realm of student housing, which keeps pace with the cultural and academic dynamism characteristic of universities such as Auburn. This joint venture encapsulates the overarching aim of improving the student living experience through architectural innovation and strategic placement, contributing significantly to the fabric of student life and academic excellence.
