Thompson Thrift Opens 276-Unit Switch Apartments in Colorado Springs
Thompson Thrift recently hosted a ribbon cutting celebration for Switch, a 276-unit Class A multifamily community within Colorado Springs’ Polaris Pointe development, the company announced.
According to the release, Switch is located on approximately 11 acres at the intersection of Voyager Parkway and North Gate Blvd. The property offers connectivity to I-25, positioning residents within a few minutes of area employers including the U.S. Air Force Academy, UCHealth Memorial Hospital North and Progressive Insurance. The location provides access to greater Colorado Springs in 20 minutes and downtown Denver in 40 minutes, the company stated.
The community provides 276 apartment homes in 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom configurations. Apartment homes average 1,000 square feet and include stainless-steel appliances, glass-top ranges, hardwood-style flooring, walk-in showers, smart home capabilities and full-sized washers and dryers. Select units feature premium appliances, cabinetry with soft-close doors, a deluxe closet system with shelving and garage options.
Community amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, resort-style heated swimming pool, electric firepits, a billiards and shuffleboard area, bike storage and workshop, a dog park and pet spa, and a coffee bar. The property also offers a residence conference room with video conference technology, an outdoor entertainment kitchen and community-wide Wi-Fi.

During the ribbon cutting celebration, Thompson Thrift presented a charitable donation to Dream Centers’ Mary’s Home, a long-term transitional housing program in Colorado Springs offering care and supportive housing for single mothers and their children exiting homelessness.
Switch is located within the Polaris Pointe development, a 60-business, 200-acre retail complex that features the Ford Amphitheater, an 8,000-seat entertainment venue that includes a 45,000-square-foot, year-round restaurant and event center. Additional options at Polaris Pointe include Sprouts, Bass Pro Shops, Chick-fil-A, Topgolf, iFly, AirCity 360 and Overdrive Raceway.
